The 8th graders, in fourth period reading, read the book Four Perfect Pebbles. This is a memoir written by Marion Blumenthal Lazan and Lila Perl. The book is about Marion's life and how she survived living in Westerbork, Bergen-Belson, being on the Death Train, finally getting liberated, and her life after.
Once they completed the book, the students wrote letters to Marion, which were sent to her through email. After receiving the letters, Marion took the time to email a response where she answered each question the students asked her.
They will also get the opportunity to watch her speak (virtually) at the beginning of April. This is a great opportunity since Marion is among the few living survivors of the Holocaust.

If you've ever been in the high school weight room, you know it can get messy with all of the accessories in there. Mr. Miller's Intro to Engineering students made these hanging racks to help keep things neat and tidy. These look awesome!
