Congratulations to the JVR volleyball team for their 2nd place finish Saturday in the Monarch tournament!!! They placed first in the Gold pool by defeating Underwood, Harlan and Carroll. The also defeated Denison in the semi-final match. Way to go RAMS!
MVAOCOU FFA is doing a Feed the Farmer event. Meals will be made for farmers who have signed up and delivered on October 11th. The meal includes pulled pork, chips, baked good, apple, and drink. Fill out this google form to get signed up!

The Ram Cheerleaders and Band put on another spectacular pep rally today in the gym during mentor time. They even played a little trick on their favorite principal!
The US Marines frequently visit the high school to recruit kids during lunch. Students who perform pull ups typically are given prizes like lanyards, water bottles, pencils, etc. Yesterday, some teachers got in on the fun. Mr. Gill and Mr. Brown tied with 23 pull ups each!
Yesterday, kindergarteners learned about force and motion by using different amounts of force to push a tennis ball to the other side of the room to cross the goal line.
Mr. Kahl's 2nd Grade students were introduced to simple circuits by using Makey Makey and an everyday object, Play-Doh, to control their computers and play an online piano.
Yesterday, members of the MVAOCOU FFA Chapter went to the 75th anniversary of the Iowa State Research Farm. Representatives from Iowa State talked to them about various Ag-related topics.
The second graders in Mrs. Handke's room just finished reading Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea and are imitating what they read today in class with a tea party!
Today, the Intro to Engineering students are getting introduced to sketching. By drawing some simple objects and evaluating their sketches, they will work to improve their skills through practice.

Medals again today in Holstein for Ram Cross Country runners Kael Hamann (14th) and Hannah O’Connell (35th). Both the boys and girls cross country teams placed 10th today. Great job, Rams!
