The Mapleton kindergarteners completed a turkey disguise project. Their objective was to disguise their turkey as something else so he wouldn’t get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. The teachers and staff voted for their favorite turkey from each class. We ended up with a tie in one of the classes. Here were the winners! Congratulations to Violet, Joseph, and Addison!

Earlier this month Mrs. Fonley and the elementary teachers in the Mapleton center hosted a Family Engagement Night focused on math and literacy. They served chili dogs, chips, and carrots to families and provided math and literacy based games kids could play with their families at home. It was an excellent event!
