FFA members wrapped up fruit sales today, having sold, sorted, and delivered brats, cheese, fruit, and much more. Ethan Reed was the highest seller this year with 119 items! Items should be coming your way in the next couple of days.
The MVAOCOU Dance Team earned a Division 1 rating at the state dance competition yesterday. This is a group of all underclass men with no state experience. They worked their tails off and it showed. Congratulations, girls!

The Rams are making gains in the weightroom Cole Behrens moved into 1st place all time with his 240 lbs bench press. Camryn Boyle moved into 2nd place all time in the Clean with a lift of 115 lbs.
The kindergarteners and first graders in Anthon did some fun Thanksgiving activities last week that included preparing and sharing a "feast" as well as turning themselves into turkeys.
Rams girls basketball teams got two great wins over the Denison Schleswig Monarchs last night. Great job, ladies!

Students in Spanish classes made a turkey to show all the things they are thankful for. Each student wrote one thing that they appreciate in Spanish.
The Mapleton kindergarteners completed a turkey disguise project. Their objective was to disguise their turkey as something else so he wouldn’t get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. The teachers and staff voted for their favorite turkey from each class. We ended up with a tie in one of the classes. Here were the winners! Congratulations to Violet, Joseph, and Addison!
The students in Fundamentals of FCS made English muffin pizzas today.

Earlier this month Mrs. Fonley and the elementary teachers in the Mapleton center hosted a Family Engagement Night focused on math and literacy. They served chili dogs, chips, and carrots to families and provided math and literacy based games kids could play with their families at home. It was an excellent event!
Mrs. Blake's 3rd graders put their computer skills to the test to make their Thankful Turkeys this week. They learned how to copy and paste, rotate images, and move images to the background. As you can tell by the photos, they are very proud of their work. Happy Thanksgiving!
